What CarSelect does
CarSelect is an independent automotive service in Moldova that helps people buy used cars safely. We are not a dealer and do not resell cars. We charge a fixed fee from the buyer only — no secret commissions from sellers.
- Pre-purchase car inspection — a 121-point check performed on site, including computer diagnostics (OBD-II), paint-thickness measurement, endoscopy, undercarriage inspection, road test, and a legal / VIN check. Result: a written PDF report with photos and video.
- Turnkey car selection — full-service sourcing: we search the local market, filter honest listings, negotiate on your behalf, inspect the shortlisted cars and assist through purchase and registration.
- VIN history reports — cross-checked history (mileage, accidents, ownership, restrictions) via multiple providers.
- Verified marketplace — a listings platform where inspected cars are marked with a verified badge. Marketplace listings surface real photos, VIN, mileage and price in MDL.

What is included in a car inspection?
A 121-point inspection: exterior body and paint (paint-thickness measurements at 20+ points), optics, glass, interior, under-hood, undercarriage, suspension and brakes, wheels and tires, on-board electronics via OBD-II, endoscopy of the combustion chambers when relevant, a road test, and a legal / VIN check. Deliverable is a written PDF report with photos.
How much does turnkey car selection cost?
The fee is fixed and depends on the target budget tier of the vehicle. It is paid by the buyer only — CarSelect takes no commission from the seller.
How do you verify real mileage?
By cross-checking the odometer against VIN history providers, on-board electronics data, service records where available, and physical wear indicators observed during the inspection.
How long does an inspection take?
An on-site inspection typically takes 60–90 minutes. The report is delivered within 24 hours of the inspection.
Is CarSelect a dealer?
No. CarSelect is an independent service. It does not own or resell the vehicles listed. It is paid by the buyer for the inspection or selection service.
Do you inspect cars older than 10 years?
Yes, and for those vehicles a physical inspection is mandatory before the listing can be published on the marketplace.
